The spa and winter sports resort Lohberg is located in the nature park Oberer Bayerischer Wald, at the foot of the Osser and Arber mountains. With approx. 2,000 inhabitants the resort is the most eastern village in the Upper Pfalz. Due its diverse offer of trails, the area is known to be a true cross-country skiing paradise. But not only active winter sports possibilities are to be found here, you will also find more relaxing options available. Besides other things, there are winter hikes, snowshoe tours, natural toboggan runs and horse-drawn sleigh rides on offer. In the fresh mountain air and in midst the wonderful mountains of the Bavarian Forest you are guaranteed to spend some relaxing days.

In Lohberg you will find more of the rather cosy après ski. You can enjoy local specialties in one of the typical guest houses. Whilst strolling through the wintery landscape you can let the day come to a relaxing end. Staying sporty can be done on the regularly and well-prepared Lohberg natural toboggan run with a length of 800 m. Or you can visit the approx. 60 km distant Deggendorf, which is well-known for its historical old part of the town and the remaining city wall. Also Lohberg is the ideal starting point for a detour to the Czech Republic, as it is only approx. 20 km to the boarder.
