This city hotel only opened a few years ago. It is set in the historical, listed building that used to be the home of Friedrich Engels and his family and has been patronised by the Bethe Foundation. The establishment comprises 149 guest rooms and suites, which are all extremely spacious and come comfortably equipped, and the hotel stands as an exceptional venue in Europe offering a variety of artworks. Facilities available at the hotel include a lobby, a hotel safe, lift access, a disco and dining options like a cafe, bar and restaurant. Business guests will appreciate the WLAN Internet access and conference facilities, and room and laundry services are also provided. Guests arriving by car can leave their vehicles in the on-site car park.This hotel includes 10 honeymoon suites and 30 rooms that are categorised as artist rooms. Each of these units has been individually designed by a different painter or sculptor and features unique artwork. The en suite bathrooms come equipped with a bathtub/shower with a toilet, a hairdryer, heated towel racks and an adjustable cosmetic mirror, and 16 of the guest rooms feature a sauna.
