Berchtesgaden - one of Germany's loveliest regions!

This resort offers everything necessary for an enjoyable winter holiday: romantic village scenery with two distinguished church towers, a wide variety of sports and leisure activities, as well as the Watzmann thermal baths in which you can relax after a busy day. Typical Bavarian cuisine entices with specialities such as roast pork and "Krustenhaxen". A definite eye-catcher is the royal palace with palace museum, which surrounds the market square.
Beginners will especially benefit from our offers in Berchtesgaden: Here, you have the option to book our "Learn to Ski" package. It comprises a 3 days (12 h) ski course and a BASIC Ski Complete Set for 6 days! The perfect start into winter sports fun - and you can choose between 6 ski areas to practise in. SkiThe "Region Berchtesgaden" offers its guests six ski areas, which are combined in the same lift pass: approx. 49 kilometres of piste between 600 m - 1,874 m and 24 lifts can be used to your heart's desire.
The cosy pistes at Hochschwarzeck are ideal for families. The 6 km long valley run from Rossfeld to Oberau is perfect for beginners (only accessible with adequate snow conditions).
The boarder scene meets at Götschen, where you will find a boarder park with a 120 m long half-pipe. This ski area enjoys an international reputation due to its world cup runs, and as a popular host for winter sports championships in the luge, bob sledding and snowboarding! The ski area Zinken allows you to ski in neighbouring Austria. With the lift pass you can access one ski area per day.
In a lot of locations at the resort, you have free-of-charge access to Wi-Fi hotspots, provided by Kabel Deutschland.
Please note: Extensive renovation work has been taking place in the Jenner ski area since March 2017, which will continue through the 2018/19 winter season. However, a partial opening has taken place, meaning that it is possible to ski from the middle station.
Not all après ski is typical! Along those lines, Berchtesgaden offers just the right thing for everyone: social evenings in a ski lodge are a great option, as are romantic evenings for two on a horse-drawn sleigh ride. You can party in the bars or let yourself be spoilt with excellent cuisine in local restaurants. Turn night into day in the discos!
Additionally, numerous activities such as winter hikes, torch lit hikes and guided trips through the wonderful landscape around the Watzmann are available. With the lift pass "Berchtesgaden" you can additionally use the curvy toboggan run at Obersalzburg, which is conveniently reached via the lift and can be used for free (weather-dependent). Relaxation seekers can enjoy various treatments at the Watzmann thermals in a 900 m² bath and sauna complex.
