Bodenmais in summer
Keep fit and healthy - and choose a sport you enjoy from many offered at your holiday resorts. Swim a couple of lengths at the swimming pool, hire a bicycle or mountain-bike, enjoy the countryside while walking or rambling. Go for a horse ride across the green meadows and through the valleys, challenge your partner to a game of tennis or improve your handicap on the 18 hole golf course "Oberzwieselau". For the needs of the less professional golfers, there is also Mini-golf.
Bodenmais in winter
Gliding silently along natures distant tracks, the nearby Cross-Country-Centre "Bretterschachten" is ideal and has excellent service facilities. On the "Grossen Arber" (FIS-Downhill) and "Silberberg", both profis and beginners alike can show their skills in alpine ski-sport. An attractive shuttle-bus service runs between Bodenmais, the sledge run and the Cross-Country-centre which encourages environmental protection. Wintersport enthusiasts are of course welcome to Apres-Ski in numerous huts or chalets. Subject to alterations.
How to get there
By car: to Deggendorf you have best motorway connections: Frankfurt (A 3) - würzburg - Nürnberg - Deggendorf. Berlin (A 9) - Nürnberg (A 3) - Deggendorf. Stuttgart (A 8) - Ulm - München (A 92) - Deggendorf. From Deggendorf you take B 11 to Bodenmais (30 min.). By train: straight to Bodenmais. By airplane: the nearest airport is Munich.
