Dusseldorf, or better Doesseldorf, is one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. It is an elegant and modern city on the banks of the river Rhine. Here all the locations are near one another: just near the famous shopping street is Konigsalley Oudstad, the old city center. With 260 pubs and taverns city is known as "the biggest bar in the world."
A little further away, is proof that people love to come to Düsseldorf promenade: traditional Nö recently purchased a new mile promenade. Now that the new embankment tunnel has diverted the through traffic, the Altstadt's resumed its traditional place near the Rhine. While still underground traffic, pedestrians on the boat on the Rhine promenade can admire the art nouveau facades and Oberkassel. The view goes to the Rhine tower, which rises above the North Rhine, Westphalia government building. From a broader perspective can see the city, rural area and industrialized river. You can enjoy a romantic view of the city exploring a steamer of the "Weisse Flotte (White Fleet).
A trip north takes you to Kaiserswerth, Barbarossa's footsteps to the castle ruins, picturesque houses and places specific idyllic countryside of the Lower Rhine.
City parks are a haven benefactor when your feet get tired. You can end the wanderings in the Old Town (adjacent to the bottom of town) which was transformed into an outdoor pedestrian mall with restaurants, clubs and shops. Also, Dusseldorf hosts the largest Japanese population in Europe, with excellent Japanese restaurants and shops, and a Buddhist temple. In the area are several old churches and castles that can be visited on day trips. A trip can be exciting at the Museum Insel Insel Hombroich.
